As we see in our conferences, image takes about 90% of a dedicated processing unit in our head, while sound amounts for about 10%. But, interestingly, kill the sound while watching an horror movie, or a reality show, and all of sudden, images left may very well become laughing matter in a jiffy. Try that the other way round, keep sound only and you might very soon be crawling under for cover under small furniture shaking. With horror movie that is, with reality show laughing matter will remain for good.

I don’t really know why that is, but one sure thing, these 90% of image processing are re-attributed to sound by your brain, as soon sense of view is off, for a moment or for good.
